Aviva Family and Children's Services is a nonprofit, multiservice agency serving the Greater Los Angeles community. Aviva provides care and treatment to abandoned, neglected, abused and at-risk youth and their families. Its services include residential treatment, community mental health services, family preservation, after school care, special education and foster family placement. Its Wallis Annenberg Center accommodates more than 30 teenage girls, where they receive therapy, staff guidance and support to make changes in behavior and develop a sense of self-worth. Its Foster Family Agency is a licensed private organization, providing assistance to foster children in its care through weekly visits, monthly family support groups, parent education, and access to a social worker 24-hours a day. Aviva was founded in 1914, and was formerly known as Ida Strauss Day Nursery and Settlement. It is approved by the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services, and is located in Los Angeles.
