Ardenwood Historic Farm is a public park maintained by the East Bay Regional Park District. Founded in the 1850's, the Ardenwood Historic Farm is a historical destination that still operates as an authentic turn-of-the-century farm. It grows traditional crops and produce from the last century and a half, using agricultural practices from the 1870's to the present. The interpretive staff, dressed in Victorian clothing, offers tours, information and authentic demonstrations that teach the history of agriculture and culture overall unique to the region and era. The farm is open Tuesday through Sunday, with activities changing seasonally. Group packages and picnics can be reserved.
