Amy Huang, MD, is board -certified in internal medicine and pediatrics. She provides primary care for adults, including preventive care and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases. She has a special interest in preventive medicine and is passionate about global health and medical education. As an assistant clinical professor of medicine, Dr. Huang is involved in training medical students and residents at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Before joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Huang was an assistant professor of medicine at University of Illinois at Chicago, where she had previously served as chief resident in the Department of Pediatrics and completed her residency training in internal medicine and pediatrics. She received her master's degree in public health from the University of Illinois and her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She has a bachelor's degree in Asian studies from Cornell University. She is a member of several professional associations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians. She is actively involved in the Tzu Chi International Medical Association and has participated in medical missions in the US, Mexico, Haiti, Taiwan, China and Indonesia. Dr. Huang is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. When not at work, she enjoys tennis, yoga and photography.
