A scenic spot in Alviso to park and relax, to bike around, walk on a trail, or launch a boat. You might like the miles of trails, which are actually levees of packed dirt that loop around the old salt ponds. They're great for walking or biking, but can get muddy after the rain.
See pictures of the Alviso Slough Trail Loop (9 miles) and the Mallard Slough Trail Loop (5.5 miles).
For boaters who are looking for access the San Francisco Bay, there is a new 133-foot boat launch ramp. From here, you can venture past the salt marsh into open waters. A gate key is available for $50 if you need access when the park is closed.
Dogs are allowed in picnic areas and pathways, but not on levees, trails and boardwalks.
