The Alpha Resource Center of Santa Barbara is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based services for people with developmental disabilities. Established in 1953, the organization provides advocacy, transition assistance and inclusion training services for children and families. It has a library that maintains a collection of educational resources, such as newsletters, inclusion packets and fact sheets on various topics, such as special education, adaptive equipment and parent support. The Alpha Resource Center of Santa Barbara maintains several thrift stores in California. The organization accepts donations, as well as maintains Alpha Art Studio. It additionally offers technical assistance services for groups, teams and individuals.
