About Orange Street Studio was founded in 1992 as a landscape architecture, urban design and environmental planning firm, in Los Angeles, California. Seeking to establish a contemporary design language for landscape architecture, our conceptual approach brings together compositional aspects from the arts and architecture, as well as cultural and ecological systems specific to each site. These principles result in designs that are unique to each client and site. By entering the design process as early as possible, we provide our clients with services in areas such as site analysis, master planning, as well as landscape architectural design. Through maintaining a diverse studio environment, we encourage collaboration within the office as well as between our office and clients, architects and other consultants. This collaborative process produces designed spaces that are richer, more meaningful, sustainable, and lasting. With many active projects throughout the Western United States, Orange Street Studio insists on sending design team members to each specific project location to investigate the site opportunities and constraints and to explore locally available materials. This site-specific approach has resulted in time and cost-saving solutions for our clients. These techniques combined with sensitivity to the existing environment inherent in each project have brought Orange Street Studio to a position of leadership within our field.
