The United Nation Soccer League was founded in 1994. The mission was pretty simple then: Founder Jose Roy Garcia wanted to entertain some local kids in NoHo park who were just standing around, so he went down the street to purchase a soccer ball, a whistle and some makeshift goal posts. 16n years later, the UNSL is comprised of 230 teams and almost 8,500 players. He even sponsors leagues in his native El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico. Children's leagues range from ages 6 to 19, and some 2,500 adults form the male and female leagues. Playing fields are all over LA and San Fernando Valley.
