History
Lakewood's building, a vintage one with charm dating to WPA days, has been remodeled at various times to keep up with providing modern conveniences and meeting state requirements. The building once housed Lakewood Convalescent Home, which is now in a facility that is next door. The two have served families with multiple needs, either immediately upon move-in or later, as needs progress. If needed, since the Convalescent Home is next door, a nurse is available if needed for medical assessment, in case of emergency.
