SpecialtiesWestern Arkansas Ballet is more than a ballet studio; we are a nonprofit Academy of dance with a pre-professional company that presents professional productions, but our service to the River Valley extends beyond these things. We begin in the classroom (studio) where we not only teach dance steps, but also etiquette, discipline, time management, confidence, and respectful behavior; all in the spirit of enjoyment. It is our belief that dance education goes beyond the studio, taking us into gymnasiums, preschools, after-school programs, even school cafeterias, all over the River Valley, and provided free of charge to participating organizations. Our dedication to quality dance training continues with our Instructors, whom are highly qualified, each having college degrees, as well as Teacher Certifications from the worlds best institutes. That dedication continues with our membership in Regional Dance America/Southwest (RDA/SW), an organization of pre-professional and regional Ballet companies, where membership is gained by a thorough audition process and maintained by annual evaluations that ensure all involved meet the highest training standards. Although we strive to train future professional dancers, we want them to become healthy, productive, confident members of society, regardless of the path they choose to take.
