Jim Johnson earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1983. Soon after, he joined the public defender's office, where he worked for four successful years handling many serious felony cases. Jim Johnson believed that in starting his own practice, he could be more effective in helping people deal with a variety of legal issues. In April of 1984, he founded his solo law practice. Besides his years of legal experience as an attorney, Jim Johnson also has experience as a city attorney and has 17 years judicial experience as a City Judge hearing and deciding 1000s of criminal cases and performing other judicial duties. Jim Johnson has been a member of a number of legal professional organizations including the Benton County Bar Association, Arkansas Bar Association, Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, and Arkansas Municipal League.
