I had a family background of medical providers in my household, so whenever we needed any medical advice, we always had somebody to ask. Not everybody has that luxury. I wanted to be that person for people who don't have that. What I love about primary care is that I can become like my patients' family. It's not just medical issues. It's more like, hey, how's your mom doing? Your kids? Show me pictures of your grandkids. I feel like I'm part of their family. It goes beyond medical problems. I'm excited about seeing all different ages. I love seeing kids, teenagers, adults, the older generation - the full scope. I want my patients to know what's going on with their health, so if they don't understand something or they want clarification, they feel free to ask. I love taking out pictures and showing diagrams. It gives people a better understanding of their own health.
