Founded in 1953, Hillcrest Home is a retirement community that provides a variety of nursing and residential care services for senior citizens. The community offers employment opportunity for individuals and volunteers. It has employed more than 1,000 individuals, as well as served over 1,100 residents since its opening. The community provides a Christian Growth Program, which offers Bible-based instruction and interactive discussion on various subjects. It additionally provides the Volunteer Service Program, which offers skills and leadership development services. The community provides a subsidized nurse's training program through North Arkansas College. It operates a nursing department that offers patient care services. The community also organizes various outdoor activities, including canoeing, hiking, boating and camping. It provides training solutions in the fields of janitorial, nursing, laundry and maintenance. In addition, the community offers one-on-one counseling services. Hillcrest Home operates under the direction of the Mission Interest Committee, which maintains mission stations Canada, Belgium and Ireland.
