Farm Bureau is an independent voluntary organization of farm and ranch families in Arkansas. A nonpartisan, nonsectarian and nongovernmental organization, it serves agricultural clients, disseminates information, and provides products and services to its members. The organization provides various services, including property and sales tax laws, exemptions for machinery, seed, feed, fertilizer and crop protection chemicals, grain warehouse bonding, brucellosis regulations, and soil testing laboratory services. It also oversees a wide variety of programs, such as farm-city, strong women's, commodity promotion and satellite and mainline marketing programs, BlueCross and BlueShield health care plans, and college scholarships. Farm Bureau s member services include insurance and banking services, high-speed Internet access, Grainger discounts, long-distance and travel services, dodge cash back and prescription drug discount programs. Headquartered in Little Rock, Ark., the organization has branch offices throughout the state.
