History66 Center Street is located two blocks from the historic Spring and Center Street intersection in Eureka Springs. It's on the National Register of Historic Places as the original Homestead of the adjacent 1886 W.O. Perkins Mill. Perkins constructed some of the nicest Victorian homes in Eureka Springs and the Courthouse. The Mill was a regional center for the production of fine store and office fixtures as well as ornate interior and exterior wooden trim. The home,carriage house (now guest lodging) mill, sale barn and offices still stand on Center Street. Current owner Cindy Akins retired from the commercial film industry to Eureka Springs in 2001. In 2003 Akins purchased 66 Center Street and began developing what is now one of Eureka's most desirable guest cottages. Innkeeper Patricia Levine's management, gardening expertise and superb customer relations is a huge part of our success.
