History
We started as a social group dedicated to helping other heart transplant recipients navigate their journey with their new heart. We have expanded to include all solid organ transplant recipients, caregivers and supporters. Last year we changed our name from New Life Society to Transplant Community Alliance because we again expanded our mission to bridge relationships between transplant patients and healthcare providers.
Specialties
As a valued partner of DonateLife Arizona, Transplant Community Alliance (TCA) celebrates 30 years as the only nonprofit agency serving Arizona that bridges relationships with transplant organizations and offers support through programs to enhance and protect the quality of life for transplant recipients. Founded in 1988 as New Life Society, the agency's mission is simple yet grand; to create a place where anyone in the transplant community can receive assistance. It lives its mission by bridging relationships with transplant organizations and offering financial, educational and social support to enhance and protect the quality of life for transplant recipients, caregivers and their families. TCA provides recipients financial assistance, primarily for medicine and medical equipment, and also offers ongoing educational support from medical experts in the field of transplantation, peer-to-peer support that brings together people who have experienced transplantation to support one another during a time of life transition, and programs that celebrate wellness and team athletics for recipients and their families.
