HistorySurprise Closet was started in 1990, April 1st.It was started for the owners parent to be able to spend the summers in the beautiful White Mountains of AZ. Mr. Ljubicich a 3-time inductee in the hall of fame at N.A.U., love it up here ,but want to make children's toys. You know the old type wooden sea -saws, rocking horses, cars, trucks and swing sets. The plan was for him and Mom to come up in the summer Dady could build and Mom would read & watch the store, Their tiny dog Cindy Woo would just play in the backyard of the first location of the Surprise Closet.We had our own business to run as with most business in the Summer we are just crazy with work & in the winter it slows down. The plan was we slow down when it is time for Mom & Dad to head for the lowlands. We would be able to keep the shop going in the winter and work our other business too. That was the plan! As plans go it went and we end up not only with the winter but the summer work at the shop due to illness.SpecialtiesOur Balloon Designs, the fact that out Balloons will stay afloat longer than most. We cost a bit more, but we are worth it! You must see some our balloon work I will start posting it to facebook. We have Great collectibles in plush and in glass & other materials. Rubber stamps are still a big item with us,Being in a brick and mortar store did not give us enough freedom to create.
