Operational for more than 45 years, the Camp Verde Fire District is responsible for providing paramedic services, ambulance transport, rescue services and hazardous materials response. It serves more than 10,500 residents of Camp Verde, Ariz. The district has over 20 firefighters who respond to emergency calls within an area of 27 square miles. Additionally, the Camp Verde Fire District specializes in fire code enforcement, plan review and inspection and provides community education in fire life safety procedures. It offers juvenile fire setter intervention counseling to prevent fire setting behavior in children and adolescents. In addition, the department provides educational programs in schools to teach life-saving messages to children.
