Established in 1974, Secrist Middle School is an educational institution that offers a range of academic programs for more than 500 students in grades six through eight. The school offers instruction in physical education, language arts, mathematics and socials studies. Secrist Middle School provides various sports opportunities, such as volleyball, basketball, soccer, and track and field. The school offers several extracurricular activities, including the National Junior Honor Society, drama, choir, band and orchestra. Additionally, Secrist Middle School maintains a library and student council. The school employs nearly 40 people as well as offers various food items for lunch and breakfast. Secrist Middle School supports the Gang Resistance Education and Training program. The school is a part of the Tucson Unified School District, which governs several elementary, muddle and high schools.
