History
Established in 1997 The business started with the assistance of Shasta Pools to try to improve child pool safety. The device was patented in 1993 by two inventors. Shasta Pools originally fabricated the door closer and then turned over the production to Roltec Services, Inc. which was founded by one of the inventors of the KLOZIT device and three other partners. Tooling was designed and purchased to allow mass production of the KLOZIT device. Since 1993, over 23,000 KLOZIT door closers have been installed. In 2004, an easier to operate version of the KLOZIT was designed and patented. Roltec Services also installs barrier devices for swinging doors including pool door alarms and spring hinges.
