History
Pomeroy's began in the mind of Wayne C. Pomeroy after he returned home from World War II. After his plane was shot down, he went home injured, but his spirit remained unbroken. He married his sweetheart Cecil and started Pomeroy's in 1951 and has actively participated in the day to day operations of the business to this day. Even though he doesn't run the floor anymore, he makes sure that those who do, treat the customers and everyone else with respect and courtesy. The store is now owned by his daughter, Michel Pomeroy Fluhr, who keeps the Pomeroy legacy alive and kicking.
Specialties
Pomeroy's provides high quality, durable mens clothing, accessories, and travel goods, as well as an in-house to get your clothes ready to go as soon as you need them. Many times we are able to complete same day alterations if necessary, and make sure you look good for any occasion. We are geared primarily to outfit LDS Missionaries, but anyone who wants durable, tailored clothing is welcome as well of course. For missionaries we offer custom packages as well as set packages with discounts from 20 to 70 percent off regular retail prices. We have the largest and most diverse selection of two-pant suits in the state, as well as wrinkle free and non iron shirts in regular and slimmer cuts. Bring in your mission call and we can take care of almost every item on your list, many times in under 90 minutes. Our staff is comprised of full service clothing professionals, so no matter if you're a suit guy or never owned a suit in your life, we can make you look the part.
