The Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation (NRPR) is a division within the Public Works department of the Pima County. It focuses on the conservation of the Sonoran Desert. The group enhances the urban environment while providing quality recreational, educational and leisure activities. The Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation (NRPR) division of the Pima County manages over 200,000 acres of open space. Its natural resource parks offer many exciting opportunities to hike, camp and explore the Sonoran Desert environment.
