Phil Johnson was born in the Bronx, NY and raised in Long Island. At a young age he developed a love of cooking. He received his passion from the quality time spent with his mother and grandmother. After high school, Phil accepted a position in a construction company. Here is where he developed the knowledge to open his own construction company. He continued his passion of cooking by cooking for family and friends in his spare time. Years began to pass and the construction business started to slow down, Phil decided now is the time to fulfill his dream and began his own catering company. While serving the masses with his soul food, Phil developed a love for grilling. He began offering some of his signature dishes such as Caribbean rum shrimp & hi brow chicken. Crowds were so impressed with Phil's food and motivated Phil to enter BBQ competitions.
