HistoryIn 2000, Tatyana Chayka founded the first Academy of Math and Science in Tucson, Arizona. Her vision was to create a school which offered a superior education in mathematics and science to at-risk and under-served students who are traditionally denied the opportunity of a quality education. Through perseverance, hard work, planning, and teamwork, Tatyana Chayka's vision was realized. The AMS Charter network is now ranked among the top-performing Title I charter networks in the state of Arizona.
