Established in 1889, the National Association of Letter Carriers is a union of city delivery letter carriers working for the United States Postal Service. Located in Los Angeles, Calif., the association operates more than 2,500 local branches representing letter carriers in throughout the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam. It is affiliated with the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) and the Union Network International.
