Governor's Office
The Governor s Office of Arizona operates through several divisions, including a commission on the states relations with Mexico, a commission to prevent violence against women, a division dedicated to children, a division for community and youth development, a department dedicated to preventing substance abuse, an office of equal opportunity, an office of highway safety, a division dedicated to aiding children, youth and families, a regulatory review council, and a division of strategic planning and budgeting. The governor, an elected official, also oversees commissions, task forces and councils on medical education and research, invasive species, education, finance review, technology, small businesses, efficiency review, film and television, forest health, military affairs, nursing and workforce policy. The Governor s Office is located in Phoenix.
