The Hi-Star Center for Children is a private special education day school that serves students with language and speech impairments, mental retardation issues and learning and behavioral disabilities. It provides academic classes and extracurricular activities to students in kindergarten through grade 12. Established in 1990, the center manages more than 20 local school districts and serves more than 80 students. It offers recreational, occupational, speech and language therapy services. The Hi-Star Center for Children supports several activities, including music, choir and art. It also conducts classes in science, social studies, humanities and physical education. The center additionally organizes art shows, musical productions, and drama and dance classes. It is certified by the Arizona Department of Education. The Hi-Star Center for Children is located in Phoenix.
