Mission Statement: Gadabout commits excellence to you, our clients, and our community. "BEAUTY LIES WITHIN" Biography of Gadabout SalonSpas Pamela McNair-Wingate opened the first Gadabout Salon in 1979 with a staff of eight in an 800 square feet space. It had seven hair stations, one manicurist, a receptionist and a make-shift facial room. Today the Kansas City born hair designer oversees an impressive multi-million dollar, award-winning business that includes seven salon locations in Tucson including Gadabout Man, Arizona's first day spa for men, as well as VerVe, an Aveda Lifestyle Concept Salon. Employee retention at Gadabout SalonSpa tells the story of the extraordinary "family" that Pam has created. With 47 employees who have been with the company for more than 10 years and 19 who have been with her for more than 20 years, there can be no greater testament to her leadership and business acumen. The Gadabout management team believes in rewarding success. Every March at the annual "Gaddy Awards" ceremony the entire company comes together to hear a powerful motivational speaker and for the presentation of specially designed awards that are presented to employees who have achieved excellence in personal and professional growth. This year's event took place at the Historic Fox Theatre where many employees were honored for their achievements and Gadabout's Grant Road salon received the Salon of the Year award for outstanding performance and customer service. Gadabout SalonSpa employees are committed to the Gadabout standard of excellence and work tirelessly to enrich the lives of their guests through beauty, health, and wellness. Gadabout believes in being active not only in the community but also in the industry.
