HistoryFoothills Animal Rescue has humble beginnings. Initially, our group started by fostering cats and then maintaining more cats in a spare room at a local Animal Hospital. The rescue has since grown to include our own facility that can house 20-25 dogs and over 40 cats. We also operate a non-consignment Resale Boutique where 100% of the proceeds support our mission.SpecialtiesFoothills Animal Rescue is a non-profit (501(c)3) organization that saves lives by rescue, care and adoption of homeless cats and dogs. Foothills Animal Rescue was founded in 1995 with a group of caring citizens in the Carefree area to help solve the issue of unwanted, abused, lost dogs and cats. In 2010 FAR was fortunate to have wonderful supporters who challenged themselves to find a building to shelter our rescued pets along with an outstanding Resale Boutique with 100% of the proceeds going to the care of our cats and dogs.
