Coe began by modifying controllers for his own gaming pleasure, and when the demand from friends for modified controllers rose, he realized the potential for a great business venture. Beginning with a capital of only $500, Coe began selling controllers on EBay. Evil Controllers as a company later moved to California, but is now located in Tempe Arizona, in their current office since August 2009.
