History
I started teaching private yoga in 2018. I saw too many students in group classes being ignored, not properly supported, and not getting the benefits of the practice. I wanted to be able to serve individuals based on their specific needs and goals, so I started to take on private clients. Some of my clients are too busy to take a group class, many have injuries or other health conditions that they are dealing with, others want to be in a place they are comfortable and can limit distractions.
Specialties
Move the body, train the mind. I adapt each session to my clients' individual needs. This isn't mass-produced yoga for everyone. This is yoga for you. Yoga bodies are awesome. But you know what is even better? Better sleep, less stress, less pain, more connection to self. That is what I use the tools of yoga for, to help you create the ease of body and mind that you seek. I love absolute beginners, people with injuries, people that are frustrated, and people that are overwhelmed. Mental, physical, and spiritual health are interconnected. I believe that any health and wellness professional that doesn't consider their client's health beyond the physical does them a huge disservice. I teach yoga to people who are tired of being stuck. Stuck in a stiff body, stuck in negative thought patterns, stuck in the past, and move towards freedom. I teach meditation in addition to yoga and incorporate it into my sessions. This is where we reap the long term mental benefits. Plus, I make it easy instead of intimidating. You can meditate. Yes, you. I'm sure of it. I approach my clients as whole beings, I hold their hand (mostly metaphorically) and hold them accountable.
