HistoryI started as a doula in 2006, providing labor support primarily to family members and close friends. I began working as a doula professionally in 2007, and in 2008 I began teaching childbirth classes shortly after the birth of my second child. In February of 2011, I began my midwifery apprenticeship with a midwife here in the valley. I have always had a passion for childbirth, and educating mothers and families on their options and resources for pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. I love assisting with births, and helping couples achieve the perfect birth experience. Teaching childbirth classes is fulfilling to me, because families come away knowing they have so many options, and this is their birth. Not their doctors, or anyone elses.
