I received my 1008 hour Certificate from the (Two-Year) Desert Institute of the Healing Arts program in 2006 (Now known as the Cortiva Institute) for Massage therapy and Shiatsu. (License: AZ #MT-08984) My Continuing Education includes a Certificate in Orthopedic Massage and Pain Management (160 hours), Certificate in Medical Massage for pain and dysfunction in all elements of the musculoskeletal system (116 hours); 85 hours in Neuromuscular Therapy on Pelvic Stabilization, shoulder, upper extremities, low back & abdomen, 58 hours Anatomy Trains/Anatomy Dissection Workshop, 36 hours in Certified Kinesio-taping Practitioner training, 36 hours Structural/Visceral manipulation of the thorax and pelvis, 80 hours in myofascial release (active and passive), and 23 additional hours addressing various musculoskeletal disorders. I am also a Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and can more efficiently assist clients in their recovery.
