History
I've been in and around construction for many years. I started back in the late 70's as a laborer for a couple summers on a construction crew laying telephone conduit with my father who was the foreman, I also worked for a landscaping company assisting with estimating. Later I worked 8 years as a draftsman for 2 different civil engineering companies and another year as a painter working for 2 different commercial paint companies. While working as a painter I began planning on starting my own painting business and in 1990 decided to give it a go. I struggling a bit getting started as California was at the time in a recession. I realized rather quickly that having other skills like drywall patching, texturing and carpentry were beneficial. As business grew I studied and learned more trade skills and further developed painting skills to including faux finishes. Customers liked depending only on one tradesman rather than hiring multiple companies to complete their projects.
