University of Alaska Land Management converts the university s grant land assets to investible income to support the educational mission. It is responsible for the management, development, acquisition and disposal of all University Real Property. The university development activities include timber sales, land and building acquisitions and sales, and residential and commercial leases. It also assists with mineral and oil and gas leases, material sales, and easements and permits. University of Alaska Land Management owns and manages more than 150,000 acres of land. The University develops, leases and sells land and resources to generate revenue for the its Land Grant Trust fund.
