Interior Distance Education of Alaska (IDEA), founded in 1997, is a homeschool support program that provides resources to parents who educate their children at home. The organization offers laptops and printers. It organizes workshops on a variety of topics, such as writing and making books with children. Interior Distance Education of Alaska also conducts curriculum fairs. The organization pays for college classes for high school students. In addition, it organizes academic competitions and trips. The organization conducts graduation ceremonies in Fairbanks, Anchorage and Juneau in Alaska. It provides allotment funds for dictionaries, globes, pens and experiment kits. Interior Distance Education of Alaska is a part of the Galena City School District.
