History

Dr. Ralph Broshes founded Homer Veterinary Clinic in the late 70's as the first veterinary service on the lower peninsula. Since then the practice has grown from a one doctor clinic to a staff of 10-12 including veterinarians, licensed veterinary technicians, assistants and client care personnel. Dr. Dots Sherwood joined the practice in 2000 and became the new owner in early 2006.

We provide veterinary diagnostic, medical and surgical services to the communities of Kachemak Bay. Our doctors and veterinary technicians are here to help you improve your animals health and well being at all stages of life. We treat many species from our family dogs and cats to birds, horses, goats, pigs, sheep and even exotics that share your lives. We provide emergency care out of hours to all our clients year round.
