Golden Valley Electric Association provides electric service to more than 90,000 residents in the Fairbanks, Delta, Nenana, Healy, Cantwell and other areas of interior Alaska. The association works via 31 substations and more than 2,500 miles of transmission and distribution lines. Its power is supplied by five generating facilities. It was incorporated in 1946 and maintains its headquarters in Fairbanks, Alaska.
