The Alaska World Affairs Council is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to stimulating interest in world affairs and inspiring its members to be involved in world events. Based in Anchorage, Alaska, the council was founded in 1958 and provides the population a spectrum of viewpoints and background information through its diverse range of programs and activities. The council conducts several public events, weekly luncheons and educational activities, such as World Quest, the International Visitor Leadership Program and many more. The Alaska World Affairs Council s members include a wide range of academic institutions, businesses and individuals.
