Established in 1987, The Central Alabama Community Foundation (CACF) is a group of local civic leaders. Based in Montgomery, Ala., it focuses on creating a permanent charitable foundation to support a range of opportunities and needs in the Montgomery area. The foundation oversees several affiliated funds to address specific areas. CACF offers programs, such as the Montgomery education foundation identifies and pilots research-based programs that improve student achievement. Its Bridge builder program is a leadership development curriculum for high school students. The foundation is an affiliate of Southeast Alabama Community Foundation.
