Founded in 1955, Steel Fab has various plants through the United States, including Roanoke, Ala., and is a manufacturer of structured steel products. The company has a staff of more than professional and trained 600 employees. Its Roanoke plant fabricates more than 1500 tons of structured steel and has an area of 85,000 square feet. It utilizes various advanced equipment and tools, such as shape cutting and punching machines, structural drilling machines, and painting equipment. Steel Fab is affiliated with the American Institute of Steel Constructors and the Steel Erectors Association of America. The company has completed several projects, such as the North Church Street condominiums, Transamerica Building, Carter Finley Stadium, IJL Financial Center, Hearst Tower, N.C., Gwinett County Arena, Ga., Aldi Food Freezer and Dry Storage in Tennessee, and NASA operations building in Florida. Steel Fab also has offices in Charlotte and Raleigh, N.C., Florence and Charleston, S.C., Emporia, Va., and Dublin, Ga.
