Located in Minter, Ala., SafetyNet Academy is a long-term treatment facility that serves children between ages 10 to 18 facing emotional and behavioral problems. The center offers children with recreational opportunities, vocational training, and individual, group and family therapies. Its range of recreational opportunities includes fishing, horse riding, basketball, nature walk, tennis and swimming. In addition to behavioral modification, SafetyNet Academy provides equestrian therapy and anger management groups. The center offers placement for students needing an environment away from home. It provides stay varying from four to 12 months as per children s requirements. The center also provides services to foster children.
