The Ninth Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church is dedicated to encouraging, empowering, and enabling the people of God in Birmingham, Alabama. With a vision to accomplish great things for God, the district covers the entire state of Alabama and consists of five annual conferences and approximately 275 AME congregations. Through their active ministries, the district aims to minister to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and environmental needs of all people, spreading Christ's liberating gospel through word and deed. The district's mission is to serve humanity by serving God, and they invite individuals from around the world to join them in this great work of Kingdom Building. Led by Rt. Rev. Harry L. Seawright as the Presiding Prelate and Reverend Sherita M. Seawright as the WMS Episcopal Supervisor, the Ninth Episcopal District strives to create a timely and informative web presence that allows members to stay connected and informed about the district's activities and ministries.
