Founded in 1889, The National Association of Letter Carriers is the union of city letter carriers working for the United States Postal Service. Based in Washington, D.C., it operates a number of departments, such as legislation and politics, city delivery, health benefit plan, safety and health, retirement, mutual benefit association and compensation, to name a few. The National Association of Letter Carriers is affiliated with the AFL-CIO and with UNI, an international alliance of communications unions.
