Established in 1975, the Franklin Primary Health Center is a nonprofit organization that provides a range of health care services. It operates more than 10 community-based health centers in the city of Mobile, as well as in Baldwin and Choctaw counties in Alabama. The organization provides medical services in the areas of internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, family practice, optometry, dentistry and radiology. The Franklin Primary Health Center also offers laboratory, medical social work, case management, pharmacy, HIV/AIDS prevention, education and testing services. It additionally provides substance abuse treatment and nutrition services. The organization employs more than 30 physicians, dentists, optometrists and nurse practitioners. The Franklin Primary Health Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and maintains several locations in Mobile, Ala.
