HiWAAY Internet Services is a full-service Internet Service Provider based in Huntsville, Ala., with services offered throughout Alabama. It began in the fall of 1994 as a dial-up provider for Huntsville-based Channel 31 WAAY-TV. HiWAAY began offering Internet services to the public in March 1995. The company has expanded to add digital subscriber lines and Internet protection programs from viruses and spyware. HiWAAY has thousands of dial-up subscribers in nearly 20 Alabama cities and provides Internet services to many of the state s Fortune 500 companies.
