Established in 1958, the Lifelines/Family Counseling Center of Mobile is a private, nonprofit organization. Located in Mobile, Ala., the organization is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children and is approved by the Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide comprehensive housing counseling. It is a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling and is affiliated with the United Way, the American Association of Suicidology and the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems. The Lifelines/Family Counseling Center of Mobile offers assisstance to adolescents, children and adults with issues related to marital and family difficulties, school and employment adjustment, low self-esteem, childhood disorders, and feelings of frustration, anger and aggression.
