History
Elk River Treatment Program was founded in 2005 by Karen Lee and a group of medical professionals from Huntsville, AL. The group recognized the need to provide at-risk teens a short-term, residential treatment program that provided a comprehensive education program as well. The program's founders did not believe that a struggling teen should be penalized for seeking therapeutic help.
