Founded in 1940, Goodrich Aerostructures Group designs, integrates, manufactures, sells and supports aircraft engine nacelle systems and components for large commercial aircraft. It makes pylons, which are structures that attach engines to aircraft and also provides engine build-up services. The company installs a variety of different nacelle and engine systems to provide its customers a complete propulsion system. Its customers include commercial airframe manufacturers, such as Boeing and Airbus. In addition, Goodrich Aerostructures Group conducts business with various major commercial jet engine manufacturers, including General Electric, Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney and CFM International. It is located in Foley, Ala., and is a subsidiary of Goodrich Corporation, a supplier of systems and services to the aerospace, defense and homeland security markets.
