DCH SportsMedicine is a comprehensive service designed to meet the needs and interests of the entire family living in Alabama. It focuses on sports injury prevention, maintenance, treatment, rehabilitation and education. DCH SportsMedicine offers complete health care assistance for all ages at all levels of participation in sports activities. It provides care services for the athletes of more than 20 area schools in west Alabama. DCH SportsMedicine also offers the latest in rehabilitation treatment for quick return of an injured athlete to the playing field and several orthopedic and rehabilitative services in addition to those related to sports. In addition, it provides pre-participation physicals twice a year for more than 2,000 area athletes. Located in Tuscaloosa, Ala., DCH SportsMedicine is a part of the DCH Health System, which provides community-based health services through its employees, physicians and volunteers in Alabama.
