The Birmingham Board of Education is a part of Birmingham City Schools and works for the overall development of the school district. Birmingham City Schools includes several schools that offer educational programs to students in kindergarten through grade 12. The school district employs counselors, custodians, cafeteria workers, paraprofessionals and speech therapists.
